What it offers
WIC provides supplemental foods, personalized nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to their fifth birthday. Eligibility is generally income at or below 185% of the federal poverty guidelines, with adjunctive income eligibility through Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF. Families apply through a local WIC agency; state agencies and Tribal WIC agencies administer local food package details and benefit delivery.
