Rhode Island RIte@Home (LTSS Shared Living)
Rhode Island's RIte@Home program pays family caregivers a daily stipend through Medicaid Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) under the Comprehensive Demonstration waiver to provide shared living support for adults with disabilities and older adults who cannot live alone. The caregiver must live with the care recipient. Spouses and legally liable persons may NOT serve as paid caregivers. Administered by the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
What it offers
Pays family caregivers a tax-free daily stipend for shared living support to Medicaid LTSS-eligible adults with disabilities and older adults who cannot live alone and require a long-term services and supports level of care. The caregiver receives 50-65% of the Medicaid daily rate. The caregiver must live with the care recipient. Spouses and legally liable persons may NOT serve as paid caregivers. Known as RIte@Home or RIte @ Home Shared Living. Available through Medicaid LTSS under Rhode Island's Comprehensive Demonstration waiver. Administered by the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services. Income eligibility is determined through Medicaid, not this program directly.
