Approved services include personal assistance, financial management, consumer directed services, respite, equipment/modification/technology, meals, personal emergency response, and other supports. Consumer direction lets a beneficiary or representative act as employer of record, freely choose who provides care, recruit/hire/supervise/fire the personal assistant, set pay within program rules, and assign tasks based on medical and functional needs.
