Iowa VA health care systems provide caregiver support coordinators and Caregiver Support Program teams that help caregivers of Veterans access VA caregiver assistance, match with services and benefits, connect with local resources and programs, and use national VA caregiver programs.
What it offers
Iowa caregivers serving Veterans can access support through VA Central Iowa health care, which offers in-home help, services matching, and connection to local resources. A caregiver support coordinator can help identify available assistance through VA. For caregivers outside Central Iowa or seeking nationwide support, the VA Caregiver Support Line is available at 855-260-3274.
