Georgia Qualified Caregiving Expense Credit
Georgia income tax credit equal to 10 percent of qualified caregiving expenses for a qualifying family member, capped at $150. Qualified services include home health agency, personal care, attendant, homemaker, adult day care, respite care, and medically necessary health care equipment or supplies; services must be provided by an unrelated organization or person.
What it offers
Georgia provides a qualified caregiving expense credit equal to 10 percent of qualified caregiving expenses for a qualifying family member, capped at $150. Qualified services include home health agency services, personal care, attendant care, homemaker services, adult day care, respite care, and medically necessary health care equipment or supplies. Services must be from an unrelated provider; the qualifying family member must be age 62 or older or determined disabled by the Social Security Administration.
