Family-to-Family Health Information Centers (F2F HICs)
HRSA/MCHB-funded centers providing peer-to-peer support, information, and training to families of children and youth with special health care needs. Parent-led organizations operate in all 59 states and territories, offering family-to-family counseling, health system navigation, advocacy skills, and care coordination support.
What it offers
Free peer-to-peer support services for parents and caregivers of children with special health care needs: (1) peer counseling from parents with similar experiences, (2) health system navigation and referrals, (3) leadership, advocacy, and communication skills training, (4) assistance developing school-based health care plans, (5) connection to community resources and services. Available in all 59 states and territories through parent-led organizations.
