Alaska Personal Care Assistance (PCA) / Personal Care Services (PCS)
Personal Care Services (PCS), often referred to as Personal Care Assistance (PCA), helps around 2,000 seniors and people with disabilities in Alaska with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and eating, as well as shopping, laundry, and light housework. The program is delivered through two models: Agency-Based PCS (ABPCA) and Consumer-Directed PCS (CDPCA).
What it offers
Provides help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as shopping, laundry, and light housework. FY2026 Rate Schedule (effective July 1, 2025): - Agency-Based PCA (T1019): $9.01 per 15 min - Consumer-Directed PCA (T1019 U3): $9.01 per 15 min - CFC Personal Care (S5125): $9.01 per 15 min - CFC Chore Services (S5120 SE): $9.43 per 15 min - CFC Skill Building (S5108): $11.66 per 15 min Note: Regional multipliers apply (e.g., Arctic 1.48x, Bethel 1.49x, Aleutian 1.50x).
